Work With Residential Life

The Office of Residential Life prides itself on hiring a diverse and dynamic team compromised of student, graduate, and professional staff members. We are always looking to add members to our team who will help us uphold our departmental values and mission.

The primary role of a Resident Advisor (RA) is developing a community of students in a university living environment. RAs create opportunities for students to learn about themselves and others and are responsible for facilitating the general safety and well-being of the community.

The Residential College Graduate Fellow is a graduate student who works in close collaboration with and is supervised by the Residential College Director (RCD) to support the Residential College Council through program development and implementation. Graduate Fellows also support the Resident Advisor staff and departmental initiatives.

The Front Desk Worker acts as a positive representative of the Office of Residential Life.  They are asked to serve as an ambassador to the public, keeping in line with the office’s positive, client-oriented, open door image while assisting callers and visitors.

The staff in Residential Life rely upon the Front Desk Workers to provide accurate information and assistance to callers and visitors in a customer service oriented and professional manner.
