WUpan Leadership Development Award Scholarship

The WUpan Leadership Development Award is dedicated to recognizing the co-curricular growth of students (both undergraduate and graduate).

Candidates for this award can either be members or active allies to the LGBTQIA+ community. Applicants selected for this award will successfully demonstrate an outstanding commitment to their leadership growth while a student at Washington University. They also will be able to convey the importance of this award to successfully continuing their holistic growth as a leader.

Candidates for this award may nominate themselves or may be nominated by another individual. All candidates will complete an essay which will:

  1. Highlight their past leadership experiences while attending WashU.
  2. Describe a leadership opportunity that the scholarship winnings would be used toward and state why this opportunity is important to their overall leadership growth.

Within three months of receiving the award, recipients of the award will be asked to reflect upon their experiences and show how the award positively impacted their experiences.

Application deadline is May 1.
