Health Information for Graduate Student Partners and Children

The Graduate School and Washington University in St. Louis offer various privileges and resources to graduate students with family members – spouses/partners and/or children.

We know that your partner and family members are important to your success and happiness while in graduate school. There are many ways for them to get involved and be included in your graduate school experience.

In addition to the resources listed below, the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services offers couple counseling. Couples counseling is available for students and their partners, whether or not the partner is a WashU student. Common concerns addressed in couples counseling include effective communication, conflict resolution, sexual issues, parenting skills and stress management. If you would like to schedule an initial consultation or speak to a counselor please schedule a telephone assessment through the online Student Portal​.
