Students who have applied for only spring housing traditionally move in on the Friday before spring classes begin. Friday, January 12, 2024 is the official move-in date for individuals who will be moving into their spring Residential Life housing. Students who have been living in Residential Life housing since the fall semester are able to return to campus at any point beginning January 12, 2024 and do not need to check in with the Residential Life offices when they return.
Early Arrivals
If you are part of an approved sponsored group to return to campus early or move in early, you will be able to arrive on the day your sponsor requested you to move in. You should be in contact with your sponsor regarding any additional details related to your move in or return to campus.
If you are not part of a sponsored group, but still need to move into your housing prior to January 12th, you will need to submit a request through your housing portal. Please note, students who have not lived on campus during the fall semester will receive a $60 per night charge for each night they are in their room prior to January 12th.
Where to Check in and Pick up Keys
Students living on the South 40 will check in at the Residential Life office on the South 40 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; all other students will check in during these same hours at the Village House Residential Life office. After Friday, January 12, ALL students will need to check in at the Village House Residential Life office. The office will be closed on Monday, January 15 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, so all check-ins will need to happen by 5:00 p.m. on January 14th.
