In early October, the Office of Scholar Programs hosts a Convocation for students in all three scholarship programs. We invite administrators, faculty and campus partners to share their wisdom and resources.
On the first day of classes each fall, all three of the scholarship programs invite their first-year scholars to a dinner to meet and begin to form relationships with one another.
Finalists for the Danforth, Ervin, and Rodriguez Scholars Programs are invited to campus during Scholars Weekend to get to know the scholar program communities better and learn more about Washington University in St. Louis. Finalists stay in one of the residential houses on campus as the guest of a current scholar. They will also take part in an interview with members of the selection committee.
Sophomore Ice Cream Social
On the second day of classes each fall, we host an ice cream social for all second-year scholarship students in order to reconnect with each other and celebrate the new semester.
