Residential Life

Students at the South 40 Swamp

The Residential Life office provides more than just a “home away from home” for WashU students. Faculty Fellows and their families agree to live in student housing areas and offer programming and options for interaction while Faculty Associates work with a particular residential floor to provide community and educational programs. The Congress of the South 40 works to improve residential life for students with a group of peers who represent your needs. And ResLife provides options for student employment during the academic year and summer.

Of course, has a vast array of resources related to student housing whether you’re living on the South 40 or choose university apartment living, with much material available online for your convenience. Check out the virtual tours of housing spaces, residential policies and ways to request help with everything from maintenance to resolving a conflict.
