Idia is a junior majoring in Biology with a minor in Global Health and Environment. She also played a critical role during the COVID-19 health crisis as a fall 2020 Student Health Ambassador with Recreation and Athletics. She said that she saw the recruitment messages and “believed in the goal of the SHA program to supply everyone with the proper materials during this pandemic.” The position fits right in with Idia’s interests and studies. She paritucaly loved interacting safely with the campus community and the leadership opportunities the position offered.
Idia enjoys acting in plays and puts that interpersonal experience to good use as working as a first-year summer academic advisor and program manager, introducing first-year students to the college experience. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school.
