Listed below are the steps that you should take, regardless of your vaccination status or if you have had a previous infection.
- Wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask anytime you are around others, including at home/your residence halls room, on-campus, and in public as soon as you find out you were exposed and for 10 days after your last exposure.
- Start counting from Day 1
- Day 0 is the day of your last exposure to someone with COVID-19
- Day 1 is the first full day after your last exposure.
- You must continue to wear your mask in settings where mask wearing is optional such as events/gatherings, elevators, and hallways.
- Do not go to places where you are unable to wear a mask, such as restaurants, and avoid eating around others at home and at work.
- If you travel, get tested 5 days after your last close contact. Be sure your test result is negative and you remain without symptoms before traveling.
- Antigen tests are available at most local pharmacies including Quadrangle Pharmacy located in Habif Health and Wellness Center.
- If you were exposed on more than one day, get tested 5 days after the date of your initial exposure and again 5 days after your most recent exposure.
- If the person you were exposed to is someone who lives in your household and you are not able to separate from them, your last day of exposure is the last day you were (or will be) exposed to them during their isolation period.
- Monitor yourself for symptoms of COVID-19 for 10 days after you were last exposed to COVID-19. If you develop symptoms at any time, get tested. If your antigen test is negative and you are experiencing symptoms, you should contact Habif Isolation and Quarantine Team to obtain a PCR test to confirm this result at 314-935-4959 or by email.
