A native of Memphis Tennessee, William Smith graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and African American Studies in 2016. Before joining the Office of Scholar Programs, William served as a librarian for the St Louis County Library system specializing in programs for teens and those centered around diversity and inclusion. Other roles included working as a desk supervisor at Iowa State University and working with the NULITE scholars at the Urban League of Metropolitan St Louis. William looks forward to working with students and gaining more experience in helping them shape their own experience and success at the university and beyond.
