Steven Brooks is excited to be welcomed back to WashU as the Disability Resources’ Administrative Coordinator. Joining DR in January 2023, Steven helps plan and coordinate the daily administrative functioning of Disability Resources, and will often be a source of information for students, faculty and staff, and others who engage with DR.
Since relocating from Washington, DC, Steven has worked at Saint Louis University, Washington University’s Department of Pediatrics, and Harris Stowe State University.
Steven brings more than ten years of customer service and office management expertise. His experiences include office organization, purchasing and finance, admin support of medical staff and faculty, and supporting the administrative needs of an early childhood center.
Steven looks to build upon his foundation of higher education work to improve the day-to-day functions and processes for WashU’s Disability Resources, and be a valued asset to the students, faculty, and staff served by the department.
Steven earned his Associate’s degree in General Studies from Montgomery College in Maryland, and envisions continuing his education at Washington University, with a goal of attending law school.
In his free time, Steven enjoys exploring the city’s parks and museums with his toddler son.
