Dr. Hammer joined Student Health Services in 2019, and accepted the position of Chief Physician, Director of Clinical Services in 2020. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, and completed her training at Barnes Hospital at Washington University. Before joining Habif, she worked for 20 years in a busy clinical practice within the BJC Medical Group here in St. Louis. Dr. Hammer has a particular interest in developing strategies to improve the clinic’s equitable delivery of health care, and improving accessibility to this care. She is passionate about preventive medicine and risk reduction, and is committed to helping patients to develop long lasting wellness strategies for themselves. Her interests include hypertension, diabetes and prediabetes, thyroid disorders, gender affirming care and sexual health.
