Child Care for Under-Resourced Students

The following resources are available to students with questions about on-campus child care.

Washington University Family Learning Center

The Washington University Family Learning Center serves the children of parents and legal guardians who are current Washington University in St. Louis faculty, academic and non-academic staff, full-time graduate and professional students, and the children of the benefits-eligible employees of the university’s basic services contractors.

Managed by Bright Horizons Family Solutions, the Washington University Family Learning Center is a 19,900 square foot facility that accommodates 156 children from six weeks to six years of age. The center offers exceptional, high quality child care designed to serve the diverse families of our faculty, staff, students and contractors. Bright Horizons Family Solutions manages more than 700 child care and early education centers, including centers for approximately 30 higher education clients.

Back-up Care Advantage Program

  • Benefits-eligible faculty and staff, clinical fellows, postdocs, and full-time graduate and professional students are eligible.
  • Provides center-based back-up child care or in-home back-up child care.
