Undergraduate Representative to the Board of Trustees Recommendation Form

The Washington University Board of Trustees seeks two nonvoting undergraduate student representatives to the Board of Trustees each academic year.

As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit one recommendation. Applicants have the option of submitting a second recommendation if they wish. Your recommendation can be from a staff or faculty member or another student of the Washington University Community. You should select recommender(s) who are familiar with your academic record and leadership activities. Members of the Undergraduate Selection Committee are not eligible to write recommendations.

Please use this form to submit a recommendation letter on how you would compare the undergraduate student applicant with other students you know in relation to being able to be a good representative of the student experience at WashU. It is important the undergraduate student representatives have knowledge of undergraduate study at Washington University, be articulate, be able to present a variety of opinions, have sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and hold the respect of peers, faculty and others in the community. The student representative should also be willing to maintain close communication with the undergraduate community within the Washington University. Feel free to comment on these aspects of the applicant’s suitability, and provide any additional information you believe pertinent to assist the selection committee.

If you have any questions, please contact James Parker or call 314-935-4526.
