The News on Two-Factor Authentication

You might have started seeing signs around campus and received emails with information about WashU 2FA two-step authentication by Duo. The purpose of two-factor authentication is to increase security and reduce the impact of phishing sites when you access WashU student systems remotely or off-campus.

All students who plan to access the Washington University network while off campus must be enrolled in the 2FA. Students will use this mandatory system when trying to access systems like Office 365 and Blackboard that require the use of a WUSTL Key.

For information on how to set up and enroll in 2FA, see WashU 2FA Two-Step Authentication.
