Mindfulness 101 Workshop

Join the Habif Health & Wellness Center’s for Mindfulness 101: An introduction to mindfulness practice, application, and science.

We’ll talk about what people mean when they talk about mindfulness, and why something that might sound simple can also be difficult! We’ll also go over the science of mindfulness – what does mindfulness benefit? How does it work? And we’ll weave mindfulness practices throughout our time together. We hope you come away with a clearer sense of what mindfulness might look like in practice in your life.

Workshop presenters will be:

Diana C. Parra, PT, MPH, PhD, 200-HR RYT, IMTA CMT-P
Research Assistant Professor, Prevention Research Center, Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis
Scholar, Institute for Public Health
