International Student Travel Signature Request Form

International students are required to have a travel signature on their I-20 to re-enter the U.S. If you do not have a recent travel signature (within 6 months old) on your current I-20, please fill out the below travel signature request form.

Important Update: The U.S. will require negative virus tests from international passengers arriving by air. Starting January 26th*, all international travelers headed to the United States will first need to show proof of a negative coronavirus test before they can board a flight to the U.S. The test must be within 1 day of your flight, and you will need written documentation of your test results (or proof of having recovered from COVID-19).

*Please note, passengers traveling from the UK to the U.S. already have to show proof of a negative COVID test, as of December 28th.

·        F-1 students can submit a request using this travel signature request form to obtain an I-20 with a travel signature via email. Due to COVID-19, SEVP has updated their guidance to allow DSOs to electronically send I-20s to student with electronic travel signatures. Therefore, OISS will be emailing you a copy of a new I-20 with a travel signature to your WashU email address. If you have not received your I-20 within 2 weeks of your request, please email your OISS Advisor. We recommend you print, sign, and date this I-20 so that you have a hard copy with you when you travel.

·        J-1 students must schedule an In-Person Student Advising Appointment with their OISS Advisor and bring their DS-2019 to the office so that it can be signed in person. The U.S. Department of State prohibits AROs from using electronic signatures and emailing DS-2019s.

·        International Scholars should contact their International Scholar Advisor for information about travel signatures.
