Habif After Hours Instruction for COVID-19 Test Results and Exposure

If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please contact Habif Health and Wellness Center. Our nurses respond to this email promptly 7 days a week between 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Positive COVID-19 test result

If you have been told you have a positive test, please remain in your room or apartment for tonight.  Arrange a food delivery service like Grubhub or DoorDash if you are off campus.  For those on campus, contact Isolation housing at 314-249-9611 to arrange food delivery from Campus Dining. It is important that you stay in your bedroom away from others at this time. If you share a bath, please be sure to wipe down any surfaces with a disinfecting wipe after use.  Please contact Habif Health and Wellness Center to let them know of your result. They work daily from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and will reach out to you to review your case.  They can arrange on campus isolation housing if needed and will contact your dean’s office who will notify your professors that you will be unable to attend classes until your isolation is complete.  They will also initiate contact tracing so that anyone who you may have exposed to COVID-19 is contacted.  You will receive a call from a contact tracer soon to start that process. Habif nurses will follow you throughout your isolation period to monitor your health.

COVID-19 exposure

If you are vaccinated and think you have been exposed to COVID-19, and you are not experiencing symptoms, you do not need to quarantine. It is important, however that you remain masked and carefully monitor yourself for symptoms.  Please contact Habif Health and Wellness Center to let them know of your possible COVID exposure. They work 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily and will reach out to you to review your case.
