Have you gotten your flu shot yet?

In the midst of a highly contagious novel coronavirus, getting a flu shot this year is more important than ever. Don’t leave yourself vulnerable to two deadly viruses!
This year, WashU requires that all students get a flu shot by November 20. While the deadline is only a few weeks away, there are many easy and accessible options to get the flu vaccine. Up until November 20, the Athletic Complex on Danforth Campus will host daily flu shot appointments available for students, free of charge. You can register for a free flu shot at the Athletic Complex on their Online Rec Store. Students can also book a private flu shot appointment at Habif Health and Wellness Center by logging into studenthealth.wustl.edu.
For those of you who cannot make it to Danforth Campus, many local pharmacies, like CVS and Walgreens, provide flu shots at request or by appointment. Be sure to bring your health insurance card and obtain proof from the pharmacy that your shot was completed. You will need to upload this proof on the student health portal.
Routinely getting an annual flu shot during the long flu season lessens your chance of getting the flu and protects your health. This year, with a second deadly virus going around, guarding yourself against the flu protects not only yourself, but our community at large.
I’ve gotten my flu shot; have you gotten yours?
