Ta’janette Sconyers, PhD

Staff Psychologist

Dr. Sconyers earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Truman State University. She then attended graduate school at the University of Missouri and earned both her Master of Education Degree in Counseling Psychology (with an emphasis in Career Psychology) and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (with a Multicultural Psychology minor). Dr. Sconyers completed her postdoctoral residency at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute where she received specialty training in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety-related disorders. She has worked in many settings and particularly enjoys working with college and graduate students. Dr. Sconyers primarily uses motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and exposure and response prevention in her work. Her style is warm, person-centered, collaborative, and affirming. Dr. Sconyers endeavors to walk alongside and encourage people on their mental wellness journey.
