Dr. Kyle R. Williams is a native of Cincinnati, OH. He received his undergraduate degree in Voice from Otterbein University (formally Otterbein College) and his masters from Old Dominion University. He moved to St. Louis to work at Washington University after finishing his Doctorate in Education at Texas A&M University-Commerce where his focus was on Mattering and Persistence of Black males.
Dr. Kyle as his colleagues at WashU have named him, has worked at Stonybrook University, Virginia Wesleyan University, Old Dominion University, Tidewater Community College, The College of New Jersey and Texas A&M University-Commerce. His background in experiences include: Residential Life, Development and Alumni Affairs, Inclusion and Diversity, Student Organizations, Fraternity and Sorority Life and Student Conduct.
He is very active within the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), Southern Association of College Student Affairs (SACSA) and his fraternal organization Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Since his move to St. Louis, he also ventured out and is a faculty member at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in their College Student Personnel Association program and a faculty affiliate here within the Brown School of Social Work, where Dr. Kyle works with Dr. Sean Joe in the Race and Ethnicity Lab.
In his free-time, Dr. Kyle enjoys traveling, attending concerts and spending time with his family and #Fab7.
