Jim Beirne

Director of External Relations

I am particularly focused on working with first generation and underrepresented minority students, individuals with disabilities and everyone interested in international careers. I manage a variety of career programs, teach, and advise current students and alumni. Prior to WashU I ran hiring at HP and General Mills, served as Career Director at the Wharton School, and worked for a decade as an expatriate in Venezuela, Canada, and Brazil.

What do you most enjoy about working at the Career Center?

Getting inspired by the energy and dreams of our students and alumni, while having the opportunity to positively impact them in a small way.
