Focus Areas: program management, program policy and procedures, disability training and outreach, liaison with Academic Schools and campus partners.

Heather’s primary responsibilities as Assistant Director are to manage the Disability Resources unit as well as to collaborate with campus partners to expand opportunities for students with disabilities and to promote disability advocacy and training campus-wide. Her background is in rehabilitation counseling, focusing on higher education disability resources and vocational rehabilitation, specifically transition in education and employment. Heather has been involved in greyhound rescue for 20 years and currently has 2 retired greyhounds, Rhys and Rusty. Greyhounds can be universal blood donors for canine vet clinics and Rhys was a donor until his 6th birthday.
