Heather Browning, M.S. joined the Center for Diversity and Inclusion as the Interim Training and Education Specialist on September 16, 2019. In her role, Heather will work closely with student groups and campus partners to meet community needs for trainings and workshops, developing and consulting around content, and assisting Center staff in bias response. She comes to WashU with valuable experience in institutional diversity and inclusion, higher education, and student affairs. Heather has served at multiple institutions and institutional types, including IUPUI, UC Davis, Semester at Sea, UC San Diego, Northwestern University, and most recently Stanford University. Her roles have included social justice education coordinator, residence director, assistant director of multicultural affairs, and program director of an intergroup dialogue program. Heather values creating space for dialoguing across difference, opportunities for transformative learning, campus collaboration, and making a positive impact.
