Camillia Williams

Camillia Williams serves as the assistant director of the RSVP Center. She is a confidential resource for students with the following goals: provide counseling services, support clinical staff, ensure trauma-informed inclusive services, advocate for/help survivors of relationship and sexual violence feel empowered.

Williams has spent over 7 years working in a variety of settings providing therapeutic services and counseling for individuals who have experienced trauma. Camillia has worked in residential treatment, K-12 schools, non-profit organizations, and group private practice. She has assumed several roles in community mental health as an adolescent care provider, clinical care coordinator, school-based therapist, and mental health counselor. These roles provided Camillia the opportunity to develop skills in crisis intervention, leadership/supervisory, trauma-informed care, advocacy, and therapeutic service.

After earning a BA in psychology from the University of Missouri –St. Louis, Camillia Williams obtained her Master’s in Counseling and Elementary/Secondary school counselor certification at Missouri Baptist University. Camillia is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. Mrs. Williams has had the honor to serve survivors in vulnerable and marginalized communities throughout her professional career. Her commitment is centered on providing a safe space for all survivors of relationship and sexual trauma while understanding the complexities of intersectionality. Camillia is rooted in utilizing strengths based support.  Her experience and training includes utilizing a variety of treatment approaches including: CPT, TF-CBT, and ITCT.

Camillia is looking forward to walking alongside students as they continue on the path towards healing while supporting RSVP staff and prevention initiatives.
