Dr. Ercal is a graduate of Harvard University. He completed his medical degree and PhD in molecular cell biology at Washington University in St. Louis. He went on to complete his psychiatric residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine as well. He is board eligible in General Psychiatry. His other work currently includes general adult outpatient psychiatry and providing interventional psychiatric services, including helping run the esketamine and ketamine clinic at Washington University School of Medicine. His clinical interests are broad and include anxiety, treatment resistant depression, substance use, bipolar disorder, and thought disorders. He utilizes a combination of psychopharmacology and various psychotherapeutic approaches to treat patients.
